These terms are between you and Lumina Retreat Center (“Lumina,” “we,” “us,” “our”).

What this site is

This website is informational. It describes who we are, what we offer, and how to apply.

The site itself does not sell anything, take payments, or enroll you in a retreat. Reading this site does not create any agreement between us beyond these terms.

Not medical advice

Nothing on this site is medical, psychological, psychiatric, or legal advice. We are not a healthcare provider, a treatment center, or a licensed clinic, and nothing here is a substitute for care from a qualified professional.

Do not stop, start, or change any medication or treatment based on anything you read here. Talk with your own doctor.

If you are in crisis, please contact a licensed professional or emergency services.

No promises about outcomes

Any stories, testimonials, or descriptions of experiences on this site come from individual people. They are not typical, guaranteed, or predictive. Everyone’s experience is different, and we make no claim that you will get any particular result.

You must be 18 or older

This site and our programs are for adults 18 and over. By using the site or submitting an application, you confirm you are at least 18.

Applications

Submitting an application is a request, not a booking. It does not reserve a place and it does not obligate us to accept you.

We review every application individually. We may accept you, ask for more information, or decline. We can decline for any reason, including reasons of safety, fit, or capacity, and we are not required to explain our decision.

You agree that the information you give us is true and complete, including anything you tell us about your health, your medications, and your history. Leaving something out or giving us false information can put you and other people at risk. It is also grounds for us to cancel your participation without a refund.

Retreat participation is governed by a separate agreement

If we accept your application, you will receive a separate participation agreement covering the retreat itself. That document is the one that governs your attendance. It includes, among other things:

• What is and is not included
• Payment, deposits, cancellation, and refunds
• Health screening and eligibility requirements
• Risks, assumption of risk, and release of liability
• Rules of conduct and grounds for removal

Nothing on this website changes or overrides that agreement. If the two conflict, the participation agreement controls.

Retreat pricing, dates, and details shown on this site are subject to change and are not an offer or a contract.

Contacting us and how we respond

If you call, text, or send us a form, you are asking us to get back to you. We may reply by phone, text, or email using the contact information you gave us.

Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply. You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time and we will.

We do our best to respond quickly, but we do not guarantee a response time. Do not use this site or our phone line for urgent or emergency matters.

Scheduling and other third party services

Our scheduling page is run by Calendly, and parts of the site may link to other services we do not control. When you use them, you are subject to their terms and privacy policies, not ours. We are not responsible for what they do or for the content of any site we link to.

Your privacy

How we handle your information is covered in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

Our content

Everything on this site, including text, images, photography, video, logos, and design, belongs to Lumina or to the people we licensed it from. It is protected by copyright and trademark law.

You may read it, share links to it, and print pages for your own personal use. You may not copy, republish, resell, or use our content or our name for commercial purposes without written permission.

Using the site properly

Do not use this site to:

• Break any law
• Send false or misleading information
• Attempt to access parts of the site not meant for the public
• Interfere with the site, its security, or its performance
• Scrape, harvest, or automatically collect data from it
• Impersonate anyone else

We can block access to the site for any reason.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Lumina and its owners, staff, facilitators, and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website or your reliance on anything you read here.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability related to this website is limited to $100.

This section is about the website. Liability related to retreat participation is addressed in the participation agreement.

Indemnification

You agree to cover our costs, including reasonable legal fees, if a claim is brought against us because of your misuse of this site or your violation of these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute related to this website will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Yavapai County, Arizona, and you agree to that jurisdiction.

If part of this does not hold up

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term right away, that does not mean we give up the right to enforce it later.
