You Know Your Patterns Better Than Anybody. Finally Break Free of Them.

You’ve already done a tremendous amount of work. You’ve gained insight, learned valuable tools, and experienced moments of real growth. Yet there may still be something beneath the surface — a deeper pattern, wound, or unconscious belief that continues to shape your life and limit lasting change.

At Lumina, we help you uncover what lies at the root of those recurring struggles and guide you through a process of genuine transformation. Through our unique 4-E Process, deep self-inquiry, somatic healing practices, and sacred plant medicine ceremonies, we create the conditions for profound insight, healing, and integration.

This is more than a retreat. It is an opportunity to finally understand what has been holding you back, release what no longer serves you, and step forward with greater freedom, clarity, and authenticity than ever before.

Or text or call us at (602) 753-6573 — we’ll get right back to you.

Who This Is For

For People Who’ve Tried All the Things and Keep Getting the Same Results

You’ve done the therapy, the workshops, the spiritual practices, and the inner work. You’ve grown. But if you’re honest, there are still patterns that haven’t fully released — places where life isn’t flowing the way you know it could. Insight without transformation does not serve you.

Lumina is for those who are ready to reach the layers beneath the pattern itself: to uncover what’s really driving it, heal it at the root, and step into a life no longer defined by the past.

The Work

The Medicine Opens the Door. The 4-E Reaches the Pattern.

At the heart of the retreat are guided ceremonies with Ayahuasca, one of the most profound plant medicines known to humanity. For centuries, indigenous traditions have worked with this sacred medicine as a teacher, healer, and guide. While no words can fully capture its intelligence, many people find that Ayahuasca has a remarkable ability to illuminate what normally remains hidden beneath the surface of conscious awareness — revealing patterns, wounds, beliefs, and insights that may have shaped their lives for years without being fully seen.

Often referred to as Grandmother Ayahuasca, the medicine carries a wisdom that can feel both deeply compassionate and uncompromisingly honest. It has a way of showing us exactly what we need to see, not always what we expect to see. For many, the experience opens the door to a deeper understanding of themselves, their relationships, their purpose, and the interconnected nature of life itself. Along the way, there can be moments of profound beauty, clarity, healing, and unexpected grace.

Yet insight alone is rarely enough. Even the most powerful experience can fade if it is not understood, integrated, and embodied. That is why each ceremony at Lumina is woven together with our 4-E Elemental Wisdom Process. This framework helps you meet patterns at their root, beneath the level of thinking and analysis, and transform the underlying structures that keep those patterns in place.

The medicine reveals the path. The 4-E Process helps you walk it. Together, they create the conditions for meaningful and lasting transformation.

The No-Medicine Path

The Medicine Is a Tool. You Are the Medicine.

At Lumina, we recognize that there is no single path to healing. While some guests choose to work with sacred plant medicines as part of their journey, participation in medicine ceremonies is never a requirement. We offer retreat experiences both with and without medicine, honoring the unique needs, readiness, and personal convictions of each individual.

Guests who choose the non-medicine path fully participate in the retreat experience, including the 4-E Elemental Wisdom Process, guided self-inquiry, meditation, group integration, personal guidance with Ash, movement practices, and the powerful music and sacred atmosphere of ceremony. They are held within the same intentional container, supported by the same commitment to healing, growth, and transformation.

Our experience has shown that profound change does not come from medicine alone. It comes from the willingness to look deeply, meet yourself honestly, and engage fully in the process. For many guests, the insights gained through inquiry, presence, and embodied awareness can be just as life-changing as any medicine experience.

At Lumina, we do not believe healing belongs to any one modality. Medicine is one pathway. Conscious inquiry is another. What matters most is your willingness to show up, do the work, and embrace the possibility of a new way of being.

Aftercare

The Real Change Happens After You Leave

The retreat is not the end of the journey — it is the beginning of a new relationship with yourself.

Profound insights, healing, and breakthroughs can emerge during retreat, but lasting transformation happens when those experiences are integrated into everyday life. Too often, people return home inspired and changed, only to find themselves gradually pulled back into familiar patterns, environments, and ways of being. At Lumina, we believe integration is not an optional part of the process — it is where the deepest and most enduring change takes root.

Every guest receives four weeks of guided integration and aftercare following the retreat. Through ongoing support, self-inquiry practices, reflection exercises, and continued application of the 4-E Elemental Wisdom Process, you will be supported in bringing the wisdom of your retreat experience into your relationships, work, health, and daily life.

This four-week period allows the nervous system to settle, insights to mature, and new perspectives to become embodied realities rather than fleeting experiences. It provides the structure, accountability, and guidance needed to transform powerful moments of clarity into meaningful and lasting change.

Most importantly, the 4-E Process is yours to keep. It becomes a lifelong framework for self-discovery, emotional healing, and conscious growth — a practical tool you can return to again and again whenever life presents new challenges, opportunities, or invitations to evolve.

Practical Questions

What If I Don’t Want to Work With Plant Medicine?

That is completely okay. At Lumina, participation in plant medicine ceremonies is encouraged, but never required if a guest is feeling apprehensive.

We recognize that people arrive at different places in their healing journey. Some guests feel called to work directly with sacred plant medicines, while others may not feel ready, may have personal reasons not to participate, or may simply feel that their path at this moment is not ready for medicine. All of these choices are respected and honored.

Guests who choose the non-medicine path remain fully included in the retreat experience. You will participate in the opening and closing circles, daily Qi Gong, teachings, meditation practices, group integration, community activities, and the complete 4-E Elemental Wisdom Process. You will be held within the same supportive container, receive the same personal guidance, and engage in the same deep exploration of the patterns, beliefs, emotions, and unconscious structures that shape your life.

During ceremony evenings, non-medicine participants remain part of the ceremonial space and collective experience. Many guests find that simply being present within a focused and intentional environment, supported by music, meditation, reflection, and inquiry, can open meaningful insights and profound healing of its own.

Most importantly, healing does not belong to any one modality. While plant medicine can be a powerful catalyst, lasting transformation ultimately comes from your willingness to look honestly at yourself, engage fully with the process, and apply what you discover to your life. The 4-E Process was designed to help facilitate that transformation, whether medicine is part of your journey or not.

At Lumina, there is no “lesser” path. There is only your path. Our role is to meet you where you are, support you with compassion and care, and help you move toward greater freedom, clarity, and wholeness in a way that feels safe, aligned, and authentic to you.

Where will we stay?

On-site, together, in a private retreat center, in either a private or shared room. The retreat center is located in the Verde Valley, on the river, about 30 minutes from Sedona.

How do I get there?

Most guests fly into Phoenix Sky Harbor, which has the widest selection of flights — about an hour-and-a-half drive to Sedona. Flagstaff is closer, with a beautiful hour’s drive down the canyon, but offers fewer flights. Travel isn’t included, but we’ll point you to shuttle options and directions.

How many guests attend each retreat?

Lumina intentionally keeps retreat groups small (12 maximum) to ensure a more personal, supportive, and individualized experience.

This allows for meaningful connections, deeper group cohesion, and greater access to guidance and support throughout the retreat.

What’s the deposit and cancellation policy?

A $500 non-refundable deposit secures your place, with the balance due one week before the retreat. If you’ve paid in full and need to cancel, we refund your payment minus the $500 deposit.

Is Ayahuasca safe?

Safety is one of our highest priorities.

All guests complete a detailed health screening and intake process before acceptance into the retreat. Certain medications, medical conditions, and psychological conditions may require additional review or may not be compatible with participation. Every guest is carefully screened before being accepted, and our full approach to safety and care is laid out on our Care Protocol page. The application is the first step in that conversation.

We encourage complete honesty throughout the screening process so we can provide the safest and most supportive environment possible.

What makes Lumina different from other retreats?

Many retreats focus primarily on the ceremony experience. At Lumina, we believe the ceremony is only part of the journey.

Our unique 4-E Elemental Wisdom Process helps guests understand, integrate, and embody what emerges during retreat so the insights become lasting change rather than temporary experiences.

The goal is not simply to have a profound experience. The goal is to create meaningful transformation that continues long after you return home.

What if I’ve never done Ayahuasca before?

Many of our guests are first-time participants.

You do not need any previous experience. Prior to retreat, you will receive preparation materials and guidance to help you understand the process and prepare both mentally and physically.

Our team is available to answer questions before arrival and support you throughout the retreat experience.

What if I’m nervous?

Almost everyone feels some level of nervousness before attending.

Stepping into the unknown can feel vulnerable, especially when entering a process of deep self-exploration. Nervousness is often a sign that something meaningful matters to you. It’s usually a good sign.

Our role is not to push you beyond your readiness, but to provide a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment where you can move at a pace that feels appropriate for you.

What happens during the ceremonies?

Each ceremony is conducted within a carefully held and intentional setting.

While every person’s experience is unique, ceremonies may involve deep emotional insight, personal reflection, healing experiences, spiritual exploration, or a greater understanding of recurring patterns in life.

Guests are encouraged to approach the experience with openness rather than expectation.

What is the 4-E Elemental Wisdom Process?

The 4-E Process is Lumina’s unique framework for transformation and integration.

It helps guests identify the underlying structures beneath recurring emotional patterns, limiting beliefs, and life challenges. Through guided inquiry and experiential practices, participants learn how to work with these patterns consciously rather than remaining unconsciously driven by them.

The 4-E Process is introduced during retreat and becomes a lifelong tool that guests can continue using long after they return home.

What is included in the four-week integration program?

Every guest receives private sessions across four weeks of post-retreat integration support.

This period helps participants apply what they have learned to everyday life, deepen their understanding of the retreat experience, and continue working with the 4-E Process.

Integration is often where the most lasting transformation occurs, as insights become embodied and begin shaping changes in relationships, health, work, and daily living.

What should I bring?

Prior to retreat, you will receive a detailed preparation handbook and packing list.

In general, guests should bring comfortable clothing, layers for changing temperatures, walking shoes, a flashlight, personal toiletries, a water bottle, and an open mind.

How physically demanding is the retreat?

Not too demanding. People from ages 18 to 80 have participated in medicine journeys, and the retreat is designed to be accessible to most people.

Daily Qi Gong, optional hikes, and time in nature are offered throughout the week, but guests are encouraged to listen to their bodies and participate according to their abilities and comfort level.

What if difficult emotions arise?

Difficult emotions are a natural part of healing and transformation.

Rather than viewing these experiences as problems, we see them as opportunities for greater understanding, compassion, and freedom. Guests are supported throughout the retreat with guidance, community, and integration practices designed to help them navigate whatever emerges.

You do not have to do it alone.
